Since the start of Biotechgate in 2004, we have been partnering with regional industry associations and business development agencies around the world to build our global life science directory. These institutions maintain close ties with local companies, fostering collaboration across the life science ecosystem. Biotechgate then partners with these institutions, which turns out to be a win-win situation for all parties involved, as Biotechgate provides a directory for them, whereas our partners inform us of the latest life science company news for their area. This gives Biotechgate the ability to accurately track any changes made to existing organizations in our global database, as well as add new start-ups and university spin-offs as soon as they are founded. This results in an up-to-date global dataset.
Regional Directories
One source of freely accessible data are the local directories which are embedded in our partners’ website, as seen below for the Maryland Department of Commerce.

Life Science Reports
With the assistance of Biotechgate partner organizations, we develop annual reports that give readers an in-depth insight into the life science activities of that particular country or region. These reports offer detailed insights into regional life science activity, including funding trends, common biotech sectors and licensing activity. All reports can be viewed and downloaded for free on our website.
Alongside these, we also produce free reports covering financing, licensing and M&A activity worldwide. Together, these resources provide multiple entry points for accessing global life science data, whether at the regional, national or industry level.
