Define Transaction Criteria
The M&A section allows you to refine your search based on key transaction details, Options include the year, the total amount paid as well as particular payment structures, such as up-front or milestone payments.
Figures can be manually entered or adjusted via the sliders.
Filter By Therapeutic Area & Pipeline Stage
You also have the ability to specify transactions by the target company’s pipeline or specific therapeutic areas. You can choose both the phase and indication of the lead asset in their pipeline, or the therapeutic area they operate in.
In this case, we will choose the latter, looking for organizations focused on oncology, specifically ‘Acute lymphoblastic leukemia’ and ‘Acute myeloid leukemia’.
Choose Buyer & Target Categorization
The database enables filtering based on the buyer and target company profiles. This includes their industry, location and the types of assets they are developing. For this example, we will select the buying company as being ‘Pharma (fully integrated)’.
Viewing Your Result
Once you have made your selections, click ‘Search’ and you will see a list of transactions. If you have too few or too many results, feel free to refine your search.
For each transaction, click ‘See full record’ to view further information.
This will give you the full details of the transaction. Both the buying and selling companies are integrated with the expansive Biotechgate database, allowing you access to more information on the organizations involved.
