NEW DELHI, May 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Delhi High Court has Ordered Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc to Immediately Stop Passing off the Trademarks Life Technologies and Related Domains of Life Technologies India Pvt Ltd. During hearing of a Plaint against Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc in Suit No. CS (OS) 2822/2015 to stop the illegal use by Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc of the mark/domains such as 'Life Technologies' and 'LifetechIndia', the Hon'ble Delhi High Court has ruled against Thermo Fisher Scientific ordering it to immediately stop passing off the mark Life Technologies and any other mark/domains of the Indian Firm Life Technologies India Pvt Ltd. The Hon'ble Delhi High Court further appointed four commissioners who shall check the premises of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc in multiple Indian cities and record offending materials, to report to the Hon'ble Court. The Hon'ble Delhi High Court also observed that Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc has not filed the written statement in the suit for over 2 years and their right to file written statement has been closed by this order of the Hon'ble Court. Earlier in 2014, a Delhi Civil Court at Tis Hizari had also directed Thermo Fisher Scientific to stop passing off the marks/domains of Life Technologies India Pvt Ltd in an ad-interim order. The Hon'be Delhi High Court, vide its order of 27 May 2016, has confirmed the ad interim injunction imposed by the Civil Court.
