Dohmen CEO Cynthia LaConte to Keynote MMAC 'Future 50' Awards Luncheon
By: PR Newswire Association LLC. - 04 Sep 2015Back to overview list

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dohmen Company CEO Cynthia LaConte is the invited keynote speaker for the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce's annual 'Future 50' Awards luncheon, to be held Thursday, September 10 at the Pfister Hotel. The 'Future 50' Awards highlights the achievements of 50 local, fast-growing companies, including established businesses and young firms headquartered in the seven-county Milwaukee region.

Dohmen has called Milwaukee home for more than 150 years, and LaConte has noted that the, "fifth-generation family business is proud to be located among the headquarters of some of the most innovative companies in the country." LaConte's address will highlight the importance of innovation in business building.

LaConte has innovation in her DNA.  In her role as president of Dohmen Life Science Services, she led Dohmen's recent transformation, by using a company she founded in the middle 90's as a platform and adhering 9 acquisitions, to provide a unique suite of outsourced services for biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device companies.  Acting on her belief that therapies would become increasingly precise and consumer focused, LaConte founded and launched Dohmen Life Science Services as a means of reducing the burden of disease by more closely connecting life science innovators with the patients they serve.

"As a member of the greater Milwaukee business community, I'm honored to address such an outstanding group of local entrepreneurs," she said. "In Milwaukee, we have no shortage of leaders that are building the future of Wisconsin through innovation, business growth, and job creation. I look forward to celebrating businesses that are leading the way by taking risks and making investments in our city and our state."

Now in its 28th year, the 'Future 50' Awards honors independent companies headquartered in the seven-county Milwaukee region that have shown significant revenue and employment growth.  The 'Future 50' Awards is sponsored by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce and its Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE).
