DALLAS, April 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Patients can take better control over their healthcare costs if they know the prices of health services before they receive them. But 39% of insured consumers say their health plan does not offer a tool to help them predict their costs. The data comes from a January 2017 HealthMine survey of 750 consumers with sponsored health insurance. Providing healthcare prices to consumers could reduce U.S. healthcare spending by more than $100 billion during the next decade, according to a 2014 report by the Gary and Mary West Health Policy Center.
