What you get with a subscription

If you subscribe to the Biotechgate Database service, you will have full access to all entered information of each activated company profile. Please note that the database is maintained and updated continuously. Click here to find a list of the number of companies per country of some selected sectors that are already entered and active in the database. Furthermore, a more comprehensive advanced search, as well as additional search forms for products, technologies, financing rounds and management members, helps you find your desired information. An easy to use bookmark system enables you to store your search results. Below you find more detailed information about all features that are available with subscription.

Comprehensive company profiles

With the Biotechgate Database subscription, you have full access to all entered details of the activated companies, institutes and organizations. A complete profile comprises of five parts: General description, products, technologies, financing rounds and members of the management/board. After you have conducted a search, icons on the results list inform you whether additional details of a specific part is available and lead you directly to the corresponding section. Below you can see the screen shot of a results list of a company search. The results lists for products, technologies, financing rounds and management searches have the same architecture.

	Click on this icon to view the full company profile on one page.
	Click on this symbol to bookmark the corresponding company profile (bookmarked profiles can be found on the page My Bookmarks). A green mark on the bookmark icons means the corresponding item has already been bookmarked.
	Click on this symbol to search for competitors and organizations which are active in a similar field.
	Click on this symbol to remove an item from your bookmark list (this feature is available on your bookmark page only).
	Click on this icon to print the complete company profile. If you want to print only some sections of a profile (e.g. products), use the links "print this page" in the corresponding profile area.
	Click on this icon to visit the general company profile.
	This symbol informs you whether there is additional (colored icon) or no information (gray icon) about products available for this company. Click on the colored icon to see details about the products. ils.
	This symbol informs you whether there is additional (colored icon) or no information (gray icon) about technologies available for this company. Click on the colored icon to see details about the technologies.
	This symbol informs you whether there is (colored icon) or there is no (gray icon) information about financing rounds available for this company. Click on the colored icon to see the financing details.
	This symbol informs you whether there are (colored icon), or there are no (gray icon) contact details of the management, the board of directors or the advisory board, available for this company. Click on the colored icon to see the contact details of this company.

Journal feature: Add your own comments

For each company's profile in the database, you have the possibility to add comments as well as to define the kind of relationship you have to an organization (e.g. potential client, supplier, competitor etc.). With a Biotechgate subscription, you can reach the journal entry area by clicking on the "Journal" tab in the pop-up of any company's profile.

In addition, you will find the menu "Journal" in the top navigation bar. By clicking on it, you can choose between two different views: "Journal Entries", it brings you to a list with all comments you (or somebody else of your company) added. Then, "Companies" will show you the list of all the company's profile for which you have added at least one comment.

Assigning several subscribers to one Journal
It is possible to assign several Biotechgate subscribers to one Journal account in order to share comments if the subscribers are within the same company. Every author for the journals may either choose to publish their comments to their colleagues or keep the comments to themselves. Please note that this feature is only for subscribers that are within the same company.

Following is an explanation of the symbols which are relevant for the Journal feature:

	This symbol informs you whether there is (colored icon) or there is no (gray icon) journal entry available for this company. Click on the icon to reach the journal area for the concerning organization.
	Click on this symbol to add an entry into the journal.
	Click on this symbol to edit an existing journal entry.
	Click on this symbol to delete a journal entry.

Powerful search features

Besides the Advanced Search, there are additional search forms for products, technologies, financing rounds and the management available. Every search form comprises a powerful free text search for the specific area. In addition, there is the possibility to do free text searchs on the full extent of all profiles. Below you can learn more about the details of the additional search features.

Product search
The product search contains the following search criteria:

• Free text
• Product sector (Biotech or Medtech)
• Development phase of Product (Biotech and/or Medtech)
• Availability (partnering status)
• Main therapeutic sector
• Primary market
• Molecule type
• Mode of administration
• Marketing rights available/sought

Technology search
The technology search contains the following search criteria:

• Free text
• Availability (partnering status)
• Technology area
• Marketing rights available/sought

Financing rounds search
The search for financing rounds contains the following search criteria:

• Free text
• Stage/type of financing
• Phase of the most advanced Biotech product
• Filter to show only profiles that contains information about the companies' valuation

Management search
The management/board member search contains the following search criteria:

• Free text
• Type of position (management, board of directors or advisory board))

Bookmarking

Every profile and every single item (such as products, technologies, financing rounds and management members) can be bookmarked and stored on your My Bookmarks page. A tab bar at the top of the list of bookmarked items allows an easy navigation between the various bookmark areas.

How to subscribe

Subscribing to the Biotechgate Database is very easy. All you need is a valid credit card (VISA or Mastercard). Please note that you can download a PDF receipt after your payment has been completed (receipts can be downloaded every time in the payment area of your subscriber account).
