This company database is a comprehensive information platform comprising profiles of companies and institutes in the life sciences field. The goal of this database is to provide an extensive overview on the life sciences area and detailed information on companies which are active in this industry.
 

Why subscribe to the database?
With the database subscription you get access to our powerful search engine which enables you to search companies according to regions, sectors, product development stages, business models and many more search criteria. In addition, you will be provided with the full description of each company profile including product pipeline, management, financing rounds and valuations (where available). Can I test the subscription-based service? Are there any sample profiles available?
If you would like to test the search engine, we recommend you to use the advanced search tools of one of our country database, such as the Swiss Life Sciences database. How can I subscribe?
The subscription service will be available as of Q3 2005. If you would like to be informed as soon as this service becomes available, you can register here for free. If you register (free and no obligation), you will get 20% off the first year subscription.
 

How does the subscription work?
Once the subscription service is available, you will be able to subscribe online by paying a yearly/monthly fee with your credit card. You will then receive your personal login information to access the database. There will also be a subscription service for multi-users and big institutions. Please contact us for further details.
 

How much will it cost?
The pricing is not finalized yet, however it will be around EUR 120 / month.
 

How many companies are listed in the database?
Please choose "Information" => "Database statistics" to get a list of sites which provide you with statistics on the entered companies. Especially the "Companies per Country" site gives you an overview on the number of companies of selected sectors that are activatedin our database. We have another 2000 companies on a draft status for which we currently collect additional data. Please bear in mind that we are continuously completing and updating the company profiles. If you know a company that is missing in the database, please use our "Add company" tool to inform us. We will then add a profile for the company and complete the information.
 
Who is the initiator of the database?
The development of the company databases started with the Swiss Life Sciences Database that was initiated by Venture Valuation.

This information platform comprises detailed information on companies which are directly involved in or at least related to the life Sciences industry with a main focus on biotechnology and medical technology companies.
 
What categories are used for the database?
There are various criteria used for the categorization of the companies, such as sector, subsector, target diseases, business model, number of employees etc. Here you find a list with definitions of most criteria used for the categorization.
 
How can I find a company according to specific criteria?
You have the possibility to either look for companies using the simple search form or to carry out an advanced search comprising nine different search criteria.
Please note: The relationship between the all criteria is an "AND-linkage". This means that companies shown on the result list have to meet all search requirements.
 
How can I add a company to the database?
If you like to add a company to the database, please visit our "add a company" site and fill out the form.
 
How do I best print a page of the database?
